She secured her duffel bag strap on her shoulder. "Okay."
"Wait. I am going to type it in my phone." Dre opened his phone. "Go ahead."
"Seven, seven, seven…”
“Okay.”
“Nine. Three.” She dropped her phone in her bag. “One, one.”
"Okay. I got it."
Kendali opened the door to exit.
"Wait. What's the area code?"
"You'll figure it out." Kendali smirked, winked, chuckled and dashed down the stairs of the brownstone toward the street to hail a cab. Dre watched her skedaddle through the parked cars, Amazon finesse turning him on. He looked at his phone and contemplated the area code. "Must be…" he mumbled. "Seven, seven...hold up." He threw his head back.
"Ahhhhh...she got me." He howled and danced a jig inside her humor. "Hahhaha! She got me." His intrigue intensified. Fine and funny, he thought as he returned to his homeboys on the set with The Time's melody playing in his head. He smiled, even skipped a little, excited about seeing her again.
